Munchkin - maker of clever infant and toddler products - partnered with branding and interactive agency The UXBTM to create all of the elements of the new branding platform. The new multi-colored logo and bright tonal boxes make the Munchkin brand identity and its associated packaging stand out among the competition and grab the eyes of modern moms. The new advertising campaign uses breakthrough visuals featuring individual Munchkin products in a clever way, and includes a nod to the company's tagline "It's the Little Things". And the revamped www.munchkin.com , with its easy-to-navigate menus, bold colors and clean design, features a store locator powered by Google® technology as well as a breakthrough baby registry feature.
"We knew consumers would be drawn to the detail of our product pages and the associated ‘where to buy' sections of the new website, and we are pleasantly surprised that some of our fun, new sections such as Baby Registry Guide and Baby Names are some of our most popular" said Doug Gillespie, Vice President, Marketing at Munchkin.
Both the Davey Awards and the W3 Awards are agency awards won by The UXB® on behalf of Munchkin. The awards are sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's Who" of acclaimed media, interactive, advertising, and marketing firms. The Davey Awards specifically honor "Creative Davids", small companies that don't have the resources of larger companies and yet still produce outstanding creative, and are chosen from over 3,500 international entrants. The W3 Awards honor creative excellence on the web (regardless of company size) and winners were chosen from over 2,300 entries worldwide in 2006.
"We are very proud to receive broad industry recognition of the brand's creative efforts with our partner The UXB®. We are even more pleased that consumers love the new look and feel of the Munchkin brand. We look forward to creating more clever new products that support the new look of Munchkin and our belief that ‘the little things' often make the biggest difference in parents' lives," said Doug Gillespie, Vice President, Marketing at Munchkin.
