This safety gate features an easy to close locking mechanism that doesn't require any fiddling. To close the gate, simply release the handle with a firm push and the gate will lock shut. The safety gate also provides parents with greater control by allowing you to set whether the gate opens and closes in both directions or just one way at the top of stairs by engaging one of the bottom locks on the gate.
