MUNCHKIN, INC. WELCOMES GENERAL MANAGER OF ENTERTAINING AND LICENSING AT HASBRO INC. TO ITS RESPECTED BOARD OF DIRECTORS
LOS ANGELES (June 1, 2009)-Munchkin, Inc., designer and manufacturer of infant and toddler products, today announced that Lisa Licht, general manager of entertaining and licensing at Hasbro Inc., joins its board of directors.
"Lisa is a seasoned executive with years of consumer marketing and management success working with nationally recognized brands including Hasbro, Twentieth Century Fox and Mattel," said Steven Dunn, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Munchkin, Inc. "We are confident her experience and talents will lend fresh insight to board discussions among our already impressive team of directors, contributing to Munchkin's continued advancement and leadership position."
As Hasbro's general manager of entertainment and licensing, Licht leads continued expansion of entertainment opportunities and spearheads the company's ramp up for a new series of motion pictures, including the next installment of the Transformers story, in collaboration with DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures. Additionally, she manages the company's worldwide licensing program across a wide array of categories such as soft goods, publishing, hard goods and licensed promotions.
Prior to joining Hasbro, Licht held several key senior-level posts at Twentieth Century Fox including executive vice president, global marketing partnerships. Licht also handled all media promotions for theatrical releases and integration in such television events as March Madness, American Idol and the Super Bowl.
She was previously vice president of marketing at Mattel, where Licht managed the worldwide Barbie brand. She began her marketing and toy industry career at Mattel in 1991 as an associate product manager.
