Top Executive Recognized For Financial Stewardship

NORTH HILLS, Calif. (August 7, 2012)— Munchkin, Inc., designer and manufacturer of clever infant and toddler products, today announced that its chief financial officer (CFO), Gary Rolfes, was honored as a top CFO by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal. Rolfes was recognized for his stellar 38-year career and top-notch expertise in finance and strategic planning. Rolfes was one of only 10 recipients awarded in 2012.

The San Fernando Valley Business Journal recognizes exemplary financial officers for their innovation, philanthropy and success in their respective businesses and communities. Rolfes, who joined Munchkin in 2011, was selected because of his significant accomplishments at the company, which include leading enterprise-wide programs for driving down costs, fueling revenue growth and maximizing profitability.

Rolfes has nearly 40 years of diverse financial leadership experience, developing business strategies and executing against challenging growth expectations. Most recently, he served as CFO at LRN Corporation and also held top executive positions at Mattel, Inc., and Candle Corporation. During his 12 years at Mattel, Rolfes served as senior vice president of business planning in the international division and as senior vice president and corporate controller. He led finance teams in various regions around the globe, was an advisor in developing the company’s international strategic plans and played an influential role in the successful acquisition of Fisher Price.
