17 Acts of Kindness You Can Do With Your Kids

It’s National Random Acts of Kindness Day! Today is the perfect day to pick something nice to do and teach your littles that even the smallest gesture can make the biggest impact. We’ve rounded up some of our favorite acts of kindness that your kids can join in on.

  1. Plant a community garden filled with fruits, vegetables, and beautiful flowers
  2. Hold the door open for a stranger
  3. Pick-up someone else’s tab in line (i.e. coffee run, grocery store, restaurant, etc.)
  4. Pay someone’s parking meter that’s expired
  5. Leave money on a vending machine
  6. Drop off a meal for a neighbor
  7. Pick up litter in a public space
  8. Write a letter to someone in the armed forces
  9. Make a family member breakfast in bed
  10. Send coloring books or other activities to sick kids in the hospital
  11. Donate your hair to charity
  12. Have your kids pick out their gently used toys to donate
  13. Spend one on one time with a grandparent with no device distractions
  14. Help a neighbor carry in their groceries
  15. Bake cookies to give out to friends and family
  16. Write someone in your family a love note and hide it for them to find at another time
  17. Build a free book exchange for your neighborhood
