Yes. Munchkin conducted a 16-week, randomized, controlled, double-blind clinical trial with 260 infants. Babies fed Munchkin formula experienced significantly less fussiness and gas, soft stools, and healthy growth, including greater daily length gain versus the control formula. Moderate gastrointestinal side effects were more than 2x higher in the control formula compared to Munchkin (20.8% vs. 9.7%).

Munchkin formula is produced in a state-of-the-art infant-nutrition facility in Canada, one of the newest and most advanced in North America. Built in 2019, it was designed specifically for infant formula — with cutting-edge hygienic zoning, air handling, automation, and safety systems. The facility is fully registered and regularly inspected by the FDA and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Our formula is produced in a purpose-built infant formula facility where every step – milk reception, pasteurization, drying, blending, filling and packaging – happens under one roof, allowing full lot traceability and consistency. Every can meets both US and Canadian safety standards. Each batch goes through cGMP and Preventative Control programs and quality checks before heading your way. In addition to food-safety programs, we perform rigorous safety and quality tests to ensure products are free from harmful pathogens and heavy metals, including specific testing for Clostridium botulinum (C.bot), the bacteria responsible for infant botulism, and Cronobacter.

There is no cause for concern. Munchkin formulas are made using a unique nutrient‑blending approach, and while all infant formulas contain iron, the way minerals are combined can sometimes make harmless residue a bit more visible. What you’re seeing can happen when leftover formula sits out after a feeding. It’s the result of natural reactions in the bottle over time, not an issue with the formula itself. It can also happen from bottle to bottle depending on how the formula was prepared or how much the bottle was shaken during feeding. Importantly, this does not indicate spoilage, contamination, or a safety or quality concern with the formula itself.

A few simple tips can prevent this discoloration:

• Use warm water (~100F) to prepare bottles—mixing with warm water helps the formula dissolve more easily
• Only prepare what you need
• Rinse bottles soon after use
• Give the bottle a gentle swirl if feeding is paused to help reduce residue
• Avoid leaving a used bottle out for more than about an hour
• Toss leftover formula after each feeding

Yes! Munchkin Infant Formula is certified Kosher.

Our formula features the Nurture 10 Blend, sharing 10 shared ingredients with breast milk (structure and levels differ from those in breast milk): Alpha-Lactalbumin, Lactoferrin, Beta-Palmitate, Lutein, DHA, ARA, Nucleotides, Taurine, L-Carnitine, Beta-Carotene. These ingredients may support brain development, nutrient absorption, and energy metabolism. Please refer to the cans for the full list of ingredients.

• • Wash hands and use only clean bottles, nipples, caps, and scoops.
  • Measure water into a clean bottle.
  • Using the Munchkin scoop only, add 1 unpacked, level scoop of formula powder per 1 fl oz of water.
  • Cap and shake until fully dissolved.
  • Feed within 1 hour and discard any remaining formula after feeding.

After mixing and preparing a bottle of formula, it can be kept in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Store your Munchkin Infant Formula can at room temperature. After opening the can, keep it tightly covered and store in a dry area. Use the can within one month of opening. Always check the “use by” date on the bottom of the can.
